Imperfectly Valentines – a poem

Be still my beating heart

overwhelmed with your loving offering

A fish supper, shared,

A half bottle of Lambrini,

The afterthought of garage flowers, wilting

And your indifferent company

It was imperfectly

Valentines

For the last time
